Hands-On Breakout Session Facilitators

The Visual Thinking Conference is like no other conference you’ve ever attended (it will even be different from last year!). We don’t have speakers. We have facilitators. We’re bringing in experts from all over the country who will not just tell you about their approach, but have you try it out during the session. Here’s a few of the exciting experts (with many more to be announced in the coming days):

Many of the speakers run workshops and conferences all over the globe. Their sessions often individually cost hundreds and even thousands of dollars. The fee for the entire day with this great line up is only $125 for business people and community members (and that includes a continental breakfast and box lunch)! There are even special rates for teachers & college students ($50) and grades 9-12 students ($25).

Frankly, we couldn’t pull this event off at the low, low registration fees if it wasn’t for our sponsors. Seaholm High School, part of Oakland Schools, is generously providing a beautiful conference space with state-of-the art audio/visual equipment with wi-fi Internet access throughout. Plus, they’ve also donated space on wiki and registration systems. While our facilitators have all generously donated their time, travel still costs money, and a lot of it. We greatly appreciate the sponsorship of TechSmith, makers of the goto software for screen & video capture, for helping with the airfare. With years of experience in running visual thinking events, we’re also excited to have VizNetwork (a network of people who do visual thinking) on board to help with organizing the event.
